Bratsberg hydropower plant, which is operated by Statkraft, is located on the Nid River in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag County, Norway. It is equipped with two Francis turbines with a total installed capacity of 124 MW. The average annual production is 650 GWh.
Bratsberg power plant is one of six power stations on the Nid River. Water is drawn directly from Lake Selbusjøen and transported in a 16-kilometre-long diversion tunnel through the power station to the outlet below Nedre Leirfoss. The height of fall of 147 metres is the sum of all the waterfalls and rapids in the Nid River.
